about

A lyrical force to be reckoned with
— The Ladies Network

...a holistic monster, the real deal, every box ticked.
— tommy faith, the sound doctrine
picture by Adam Scarf      Nardean is an Australian born MC, poet, spoken word artist, singer and songwriter who carries with her the ancient mysticism and power of her Egyptian heritage. Her work is motivated by the unflinching pursuit of honesty. As a performer Nardean displays an unfiltered humanity that allows her to connect with anyone, no matter how nuanced, complex or cosmic her subject matter is. Her art poignantly balances introspection with an acute awareness of the absurdity of it all. Despite being a newcomer to the world of Hip Hop and Spoken Word, Nardine has celebrated a whirlwind of success, performing around Australia, Canada and America. She was a NSW Finalist in the Australian National Poetry Slam and has opened for artists such as Brother Ali and Atmosphere, Tuka and ALPHAMAMA. She was also accepted into the prestigious Banff Centre for a Spoken Word residency, where she worked on her debut EP - a conceptual work that dissolves the lines between hip hop, melody and poetry. A warm presence, bubbly persona and quiet magnetism emanate from her, captivating her audiences as she further cements her reputation as a force to be reckoned with.
